October 24, 2019 Club Meeting

Our dinner meeting this month will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019, starting promptly at 6 at the Alta Club as usual. Our speaker is fabulous, Alexander Dushku. He is with the Kirton and McConkie law firm, and will speak to the topic, “The Intersection of Religious Liberty and Civil Rights.” His topic is germane to each of us, as it impacts us all in one way or another.

Having filed briefs or petitions in 28 cases before the United States Supreme Court, he has represented a number of religious organizations in various cases and has litigated a broad range of constitutional and civil rights issues. He received his J.D. from BYU, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and became a member of Law Review. He then served as a judicial clerk to Judge Daniel A. Manion of the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is also currently an LDS stake president.

Please join us for a great evening!
